Meet the Class
Teagan Tuesley
Where will you be in school next year?
Barrington H.S. Junior
How many years have you been in S.C.A.R.F.?
1
What are you most looking forward to by participating in the S.C.A.R.F. Program this year?
The material we learn in SCARF can be challenging, and will ensure that I have the ability to challenge myself to take risks and persevere. This will also prepare me well for a potential future in medicine, since we have unique opportunities like shadowing and lectures with a focus on cardiology. In another sense, SCARF will also help me decide whether a career in the medical field is right for me, since I am still unsure and am curious about other career paths. However, even if I decide that medicine is not what I want to dedicate my life to later, there are still many important skills I can improve through my experience at SCARF, such as critical thinking, teamwork, persistence, public speaking, and empathy.
What do you want people to remember about you?
I want people to remember me for my curiosity and desire to explore. No matter what my career is later, it is important to me that I travel occasionally to discover new places and meet new people.
