What are you most looking forward to by participating in the S.C.A.R.F. Program this year?
In 2025, I hope to return to SCARF to continue
developing as a leader and advocate. After confirming my passion for healthcare by volunteering at a veteran
hospital, seeing one on one patient interactions during SCARF clinic hours, and seeing how medicine can change lives and make an impact through SCARF, I am eager to deepen my understanding of what it takes to make a meaningful impact in this field. I aim to refine
my leadership skills, particularly decision-making and collaboration skills, which are crucial for success in medicine. Through SCARF, I hope to take more initiative, whether it may be through leading the group or guiding first-year peers during milestones,
presentations, or symposium work. I aim to help students navigate challenges, build confidence, and create a supportive environment where they can thrive,
and to contribute to the culture of growth and
collaboration within SCARF.
