Mahima Dave

Student Liaison

Mahima joined S.C.A.R.F. as an intern during the summer of 2019. Under the guidance of the entire S.C.A.R.F. team and fellow ambassadors, she researched the connection between women’s health and sudden cardiac arrest. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mahima led the Clinical Access team and worked with S.C.A.R.F. interns to write medical newsletters. By understanding the importance of cardiac health and community education, Mahima strives to work alongside schools and universities to promote awareness about sudden cardiac arrest while mentoring students throughout their academic journey.

As a high school student, Mahima served School District U-46 as a member of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council for three years. She shared the student perspective for educational pathways and developed the High School Success Toolkit to provide students with the resources to make high school a meaningful experience. Mahima has engaged with students from elementary school to high school while also paying close attention to the education and wellness for individuals with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities). Now, Mahima wants to bring her experiences to S.C.A.R.F. to develop community education programs.

Mahima is currently a student at Nova Southeastern University with a major in Public Health. As an aspiring physician, Mahima believes that every student deserves the opportunity to create a vision for themselves and receive guidance throughout their educational journey. S.C.A.R.F. will always ensure that students develop leadership skills and learn how to impact their community.
