Where will you be in school next year?
James B. Conant H.S.
How many years have you been in S.C.A.R.F.?

What are you most looking forward to by participating in the S.C.A.R.F. Program this year?
My passion for healthcare is deeply personal. SCARF’s mission to
combat sudden cardiac death through education,
research, and outreach reflects my own dedication to addressing critical health issues that too often go unnoticed until it’s too late.
SCARF’s Annual Scientific Symposium stands out as a highlight of the program. It provides a unique
opportunity to engage with research, develop
presentation skills, and raise awareness about vital health issues. The chance to connect with a broader audience and translate complex medical concepts into actionable insights aligns perfectly with my passion for
advocacy. By participating in the symposium, I hope to contribute research that inspires community action and fosters a deeper understanding of health challenges and their prevention.
SCARF’s focus on education and outreach strongly resonates with my desire to serve my community. As the co-founder of Together for Mental Health, I’ve
worked to raise awareness through Instagram
campaigns, open discussions, and personal storytelling. These experiences underscored the power of advocacy
in driving meaningful change and solidified my passion for building healthier communities. SCARF offers an
incredible opportunity to extend this passion into the medical field, equipping me to address health challenges through service and research.
By joining SCARF, I aim to deepen my understanding of the intersection between advocacy and medicine, collaborate with like-minded peers, and contribute meaningfully to its mission. This program represents an invaluable chance to transform my personal commitment to mental health and community service
into action, preparing me to make a lasting impact in
both medicine and my community.
What do you want people to remember about you?
I want people to always remember my kindness. There is always going to be someone smarter, but the impact you leave on other people and on the world is uniquely your own. I want people to remember that I was kind and generous.
