Rhythm of Life Gala
Our Mission in Action
Our annual symposium has traditionally been for our interns to present their research to the audience. During the summer, students conduct guided and independent research under the direction of Drs. Paul and Rubina Nguyen.
The focus of the research ranges from a variety of cardiovascular health topics that currently impact the general community. Past topics have included arrhythmias, heart failure, women’s health, sleep apnea, and of course, sudden cardiac death.
Audience members will include but are not limited to: physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, teachers, attorneys, business and finance professionals, school administrators, scientific device company representatives, etc.
Following our scientific symposium, the gala will commence with festivities including a reception, silent auction, seated dinner, live entertainment, and dancing. You don’t want to miss this event!
The Gala Includes:
Scientific research symposium by our S.C.A.R.F. Ambassadors and first-year students
Sudden cardiac arrest accounts for over 550,000 deaths annually – more than most cancers combined. These deaths are largely preventable through community and physician education of risk factors and warning signs in addition to the presence of more AEDs accessible across the nation.
With the generosity and support of businesses and individuals, we look forward to keeping up with the increasing demand for our non-profit organization’s services and building and improving on the assistance we are already able to provide.
This year, we would like to increase our donation of AEDs to at least 25, while being able to sponsor 50+ new and returning S.C.A.R.F. Ambassadors who pave the way for a brighter future for us all.
