Director of Internet Technology
Morish Shah is an undergraduate student in the combined undergraduate-medical program at Nova Southeastern University studying Public Health, Biological Sciences, and Health Informatics. He joined SCARF in 2018 as an intern curious to learn about cardiac health and health outcomes. Through his time at S.C.A.R.F., he has led the technology team for the COVID-19 Task Force, worked on technological endeavors to increase access to care for the community, and served as a mentor for fellow students. In his current role as Director of Technology, Morish hopes to increase access to healthcare and streamline clinical processes and workflows using health informatics and telehealth. S.C.A.R.F. has provided him a foundation to strengthen his leadership, critical thinking, and public speaking skills while giving back to the community.
Morish’s research interests include Cardiomyopathy, Peripheral Arterial Disease, and Women’s Health along with understanding mechanisms to utilize telehealth and health informatics to increase health outcomes. In addition to his career goal of becoming a physician, he is also interested in pursuing leadership at the intersection of government and healthcare to improve health outcomes through health policy. In his personal life, Morish enjoys reading about history and policy, flying his drone, and hiking the national parks.
