Meet the Junior Board
Director of Public Events & Public Relations; Liaison to Board of Directors
Millen is currently in her third year of undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as a Biology major, Public Policy minor, and on a pre-medical track. She graduated from Barrington High School in 2016. This will be her fifth year involved with the S.C.A.R.F. organization. She began as a student in the Mentorship and Career Guidance Program in 2015 and has now served for one year on the S.C.A.R.F. Administrative Team. After college, she plans to attend medical school and hopes to earn both her medical degree and a Master of Public Health (MPH). Her goal is to ultimately work in healthcare reform or for nonprofit medical organizations that benefit women's health.
As Director of Public Events/Public Relations, she plans to continue her work of organizing the "For Life" philanthropy events, help plan the annual Rhythm of Life Gala, and promote S.C.A.R.F. as a non-profit organization through various social media accounts. She feels this position will enable her to combine two of her lifelong passions: medicine and philanthropy. She's incredible grateful to S.C.A.R.F. for allowing her to utilize her skills in public relations and community service in order to grow the organization.
Millen will also serve as the Student Liaison to the S.C.A.R.F. Board of Directors where she will bring the concerns, recommendations, and approvals of the Junior Board to the regular Board of Director Meetings. She will represent the student voice at these semi-annual meetings.
